Finding Something good in every piece of wood!
Finding Something good in every piece of wood!
We take pride in the thought, care and effort we put into our items and projects so you can be proud of them for years to come.
Pyrography
Some people may be wondering what Pyrography is.
Pyrography is: the art or technique of decorating wood or leather by burning a design on the surface with a heated metallic point.
Pretty proud of some of the work I've done so far. It's fun and challenging, but its all creative and I'm happy to continually learn and get better.
If you have something you'd like done, please message me, I look forward to working with you!
More creations added as updates are done on the website.
NOTE: Pyrography can begin to fade as years go on. It is recommended that wood burned pieces be kept out of direct sunlight to prevent premature fading. Lighter details will fade first. Some seals have UV protection, but wood also changes over time which we have no control over. Nature at work!
I teach Pyrography/woodburning at the Hamilton Road Senior Recreation Centre. We are a growing class each session. We do a couple field trips during the year. It's a great group, and we have a great time! See photo below from our most recent trip to Workshop Supply in Embro, ON to get some live edge wood! :)
Call the centre if you'd like to join us!
